CAMERA GUIDE: ZONE DETECTION

1 Make sure your camera supports "Detection Zones". You can check this under camera specifications on the NEXSMART website.

2 From the camera home page, click the pencil in the upper right corner.

3 Click "Storage Settings”

4 If this is the first time you are using the SD card, press "Format" and then "OK". Wait until the camera has formatted the card (this may take up to a few minutes).

5 Back in the "Settings" menu, select "Detection Alarm Settings".

6 Here we turn on the "Motion Detection Alarm".

7 Next, press and turn on “Activity Area”

8 Next, press “Edit” on the “Surveillance Area Setting”

9 Drag / Resize the red frame to set an activity area

10 Back in the "Settings" menu, select "Recording Settings".

11Make sure "Local Recording" is turned on. When the white circle is to the right and the rest is green, it is activated (see image below).

12 Next, press "Recording Mode" and tick "Event Recording".

13 Now the camera is successfully set up, and ready to detect motion in the pre-set activity area.
